Median sales prices in the Dallas Fort-Worth metropolitan area decreased by 4.5% from the 2nd quarter of 2022 to the 2nd quarter of 2023, coming in slightly below the U.S. average.

FHFA House Price Index – Q1 2023​

The FHFA House Price Index, drawing on data from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, reflects a diverging trend: housing prices are increasing faster in the U.S. than they are in the DFW area, which saw a modest increase of 0.6%, compared to a 3.0% rise nationally last year.
